Hi there. I'm Aimie Reistad
First of all, this is most certainly not about me. It’s about you, and I look forward to meeting you. But finding the right coach to listen to you, get to know you and support you on your journey is a big first step. So please read on to see if we might be a good match:
Being - and if we’re honest, looking - healthy has been a lifelong passion and at times a hot pursuit of mine. This was my pattern: Diet, train, step on scale. Repeat. After decades of 'trying everything' and a lot of life experience under my belt, I finally found moderation and peace. It wasn't all for naught. Over the past 12+ years I've had the opportunity to invest what I learned. I've had the honor of coaching clients via behavior change to lose thousands of pounds not to mention get healthier sleep, eat well as a family, getting organized, take time for themselves. Best of all, to believe in themselves and to live with moderation and in peace.
They say the coaching relationship is like a dance; they probably mean something like a waltz. It is true, as your coach, I may indeed dance but it's more of a hands waving, shaking dance...I just can't help myself. I invest so deeply in every single one of you, and I feel so honored to be part of your journey. We rejoice together!
I live in the Twin Cities with my husband, my 3 amazing sons and our big Berner named Vail. When I'm not with my favorite bunch, you might spot me running in the heat, rain or snow. I also love a good CorePower yoga sweat, listening to motivating sermons, traveling, drinking coffee, wine, or both with my girlfriends or tucking into a good book.
I adhere to the ICHWC Health & Wellness Coach Scope of Practice
Health and wellness coaches work with individuals and groups in a client-centered process to facilitate and empower the client to develop and achieve self-determined goals related to health and wellness. Coaches support clients in mobilizing internal strengths and external resources, and in developing self-management strategies for making sustainable, healthy lifestyle, behavior changes. While health and wellness coaches per se do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide psychological therapeutic interventions, they may provide expert guidance in areas in which they hold active, nationally recognized credentials, and may offer resources from nationally recognized authorities such as those referenced in ICHWC’s healthy lifestyle curriculum. As partners and facilitators, health and wellness coaches support their clients in achieving health goals and behavioral change based on their clients’ own goals and consistent with treatment plans as prescribed by individual clients’ professional health care providers. Coaches assist clients to use their insight, personal strengths and resources, goal setting, action steps and accountability toward healthy lifestyle change.
